The NGTS campaign "gamble aware" "continues to develop wave on wave."

GambleAware has provided information on the ongoing progress made toward one of its goals, which was previously highlighted and referred to as boosting awareness of its National Gambling Therapy Service.

The company states that "recognition continues to build wave on wave" as a result of awareness raising activities that were led by the charity and particularly aimed at high-risk male gamblers (PGSI 8+).

According to the most recent campaign monitoring survey, which was carried out by Ipsos Mori, the overall level of knowledge of the service has already reached 40 percent of all high-risk male gamblers, and it has reached 50 percent of the "key audience" of impacted individuals.

In addition, the organization reports that the NGTS program reached 74% of high-risk male gamblers in August 2021, in addition to 79% of impacted individuals overall.

60 percent of high-risk gamblers are said to agree that they would contact NGTS as a first step if they had concerns about their gambling, which is an increase from 47 percent of high-risk gamblers who said the same thing in May 2020. The percentage of high-risk gamblers who agree with this statement in August 2021 is expected to be even higher.

GambleAware has noticed an increase in calls to the NGTS' National Gambling Helpline, through both calls and online chats, which is up 41 percent in the last two years ending March 31, 2021. This rise was registered as a result of the better reaction from audiences.

Since findings from a study showed that London and the Midlands had higher rates of high-risk gamblers, the most recent campaign placed a greater emphasis on these two locations.

It is said that this additional activity resulted in 40% of all male gamblers aged 16-44 in London saying they would likely contact the NGTS, or the National Gambling Helpline, should they need support for gambling-related problems. This figure compares to 31% of gamblers across the entirety of Great Britain who said they would do the same thing.

GambleAware's Chief Executive Officer, Zoe Osmond, had the following to say about the National Gambling Treatment Service: "The National Gambling Treatment Service brings together a network of organizations across Great Britain that provides free confidential treatment and support for anyone experiencing gambling harms."

"It is good to see that this campaign is helping to direct more individuals to treatment for gambling harms, and it is also working to create increased awareness of the provision of treatment services," said the campaign's creator.
